Krista Miller and assistant Alexis Gilbert give you tips on how to incorporate advanced tricks to your basic turns! Starting with a warm up, you’ll work your core and practice some wall stretches. Then move into needle/penché stretches to improve your black flexibility. Once warmed up, it’s time for turns and tricks! You’ll practice turning tricks that include elements of front leg hold turns, coupé turns, a la seconde turns, and what Krista calls the “uppity” turns. We can’t wait for our advanced dancers to utilize their technique and try these new tricks!
