Krista Miller - Pencil Turn Variations
New & Noteworthy
•
13m
In the beginning of class, Krista goes over the importance of alignment while executing pencil turns. These are a fun take on the pirouette, essentially taking your leg from a passe and extending it straight and pointed to the floor while turning. Inner thigh strength is so important, along with rotation from the hip to stay turned out. Krista progresses from a standard pencil turn, to a pencil turn rond de jambe arabesque, finishing with a pencil plie pirouette.
